Fleckl - Warmensteinach in the "Hohes Fichtelgebirge"


Fleckl , a village part of Warmensteinach, lies at a sunny plateau at the foot of the mountain Ochsenkopf in the heart of the Fichtelgebirge and not far from the Richard Wagner town  Bayreuth (BAB 9, exit Bad Berneck).

The ski resort Fleckl in the Fichtelgebirge is an area with snow guaranteed. It is the highest village part (800m) of Warmensteinach and lies south of the mountain Ochsenkopf. From there on you can reach, without car,  the most beautiful ski slopes in the area (2 chair lifts - 7 T-bar lifts partly under floodlight till 10 o'clock p.m. - 80 km of prepared cross-country trails - ski school - regional training centre of the Nordic ski disciplines - night trail - numerous ski huts - prepared winter hiking trails - sledge track).

Apart from alpine skiing, this low mountain range landscape  is ideal for the Nordic disciplines. Cross-country skiing or relaxed ski-hiking on well-prepared trails (at no cost) offers relaxation for the whole family. Above all beginners and little children will find competent and patient instructors in the local ski school. This area is also ideal for snowboarding .
