South of the mountain "Ochsenkopf" a trail leads to the village Neubau. Experienced bikers will follow the trail Boxgrabenweg, passing the silver-ore mine "Gleißinger Fels", and finally reach the lake Fichtelsee in Neubau. After a short break you continue your trip through the forest to the village Nagel or you make a quick trip to the automobile museum in the village Fichtelberg. From this point you also reach the next stop via the path Nagler Weg. From the village Brand you cycle via Grünberg to (uphill) Babilon. From there on the tour continues -via the villages Ahornberg, Herzoghut and the pub Gänskopfhütte (time for a refreshment)- to Sophiental. You then cross the idyllic valley Steinachtal and slowly cycle uphill to Warmensteinach. There you pass the former wire mill "Neuwerk", the factory "Brunnenhaus", the little village Zainhammer and the castle ruin Wurzstein (here you have to cycle "a bit backwards" again!). Having passed the hotel "Pfeifferhaus" you are finally in Warmensteinach. There you take a rest since now you have to cycle via the valley Löchleinstal to the highest part of Warmensteinach: back to "Grassemann" and the village Fleckl. There you really deserve a refreshing bath in the natural mud bath of Fleckl.

On the southern slope of the mountain Ochsenkopf you cycle uphill to the first summit: the Ochsenkopf. The last steep ascent, which is usually not accessible to bikers, is too strenuous for casual bikers. But anyway, just take the gravel path to your right until you reach the trail "Schmiererweg" and from there on you cycle up to the summit. After you have covered a hight difference of 250 meters, you cycle downhill again. Have a look at the mountain Schneeberg which is your next destination. But first of all we follow the gravel forest trail to the inn "Karches", which is an easy going ride. Take a deep breath since now it goes uphill to the mountain Schneeberg with the highest summit (1054m) in the Fichtelgebirge. This exhausting route is suitable only for those in peak condition who have "an inclination to masochism". Along a range of hills our route continues via Rudolphstein to the inn "Seehaus". For those in peak condition: you may cycle up the mountain "Platte". On our way back to the village Fleckl we pass the lake "Fichtelsee", the village Neubau and the silver-ore mine "Gleißinger Fels". And for those of you who still haven't had enough - starting from the silver-ore mine- you may cycle up again the mountain Ochsenkopf along the "Schmiererweg" trail up to the circular road where you take a left in order to reach the Ochsenkopf downhill run. This run leads you directly back to the village Fleckl. And for those of you who want to enjoy an even longer downhill run will follow the "Schmiererweg" trail up to a fork in the road shortly underneath the summit. There you follow the gravel path to your left up to the downhill run (we have already been here today!) and then down it goes to the valley.
